Head Choir Director/Assistant Band Director

Keene ISD is seeking an assistant band director/head choir director for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate has training and experience in both band and choir. A woodwind player would be preferred, but all applicants will be considered. This role includes teaching 6th grade choir, 7th & 8th grade choir, high school choir, two periods of homogenous beginner band, assisting with marching band in the fall/directing the non-varsity high school band in the spring, and one period of music appreciation.

The ideal candidate for this job is a team player, who isn't afraid to take charge, but is willing to collaborate with a team; someone who is focused primarily on student relationships and student growth, and someone who is highly knowledgeable of their content area.
