Head MS Choir/Asst. Band

Rockport-FUlton, Texas is a thriving coastal community with a comprehensive fine arts scene. RFISD is a 4A/2C School District that is in a colorful community of cultures from young familes to retired individuals who love supporting the arts. RFISD is also in the process of building a brand new fine arts facility adjacent to our historic Martha Luigi Auditorium. This facility will be on of the finest public school fine arts campuses in the Coastal Bend Region.

About the position:

Our District is seeking an individual with both vocal and instrumental pedagogy who posses a desire to grow and manage a choral program while assisting partially with the band program. The ideal candidate will have be PK-12 certified in All-Level music, and possess a Bachelor's degree in vocal music with music education. Professional qualities should include: being modable, willing to learn, energetic, and passionate about music education and it's impact on our students, community, and district. The key professional elements of communication, orgranization, and self-drive are a must.

This would be an excellent position that allows for mentorship opportunities with a strong HS CHoral Director possessing over 20 years of successful teaching in music education along with three band directors totaling over 40 years of combined education experience. All courses are co-taught.
