Director of Music Ministry

Flower Mound United Methodist Church is seeking a full time Director of Music Ministries beginning in September, 2024. This vibrant congregation of 800 plus members offers a place of belonging where every person is claimed as a beloved child of God. The talents of our choirs range from children, youth, adult, mens choir, handbells, instrumentalists, youth orchestra and even a ukelele choir! The Director of Music Ministries offers spiritual leadership for the music program and provides worship planning, creative direction, supervision of paid music personnel, and fosters caring community. 

Candidates must have: 

–Bachelors of Music Degree with a Masters of Sacred Music (MSM) preferred.
- Experience of 5+ years in a congregation of 500-1000 members, United Methodist preferred.
 - Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with diverse groups of ages and people, including staff and church members.
- Strong choral music skills, and ability to match music to the abilities of specific choirs.
- Positive interpersonal and organizational skills. –
