East Texas Youth Orchestra is seeking a Music & Artistic Director beginning with the 2025-2026 season (September-May). This position oversees the musical life of the organization and includes conducting the Symphony Orchestra.
Rehearsals are held Sunday afternoons on the campus of the University of Texas Tyler.
The successful candidate should anticipate spending approximately 15 hours per week caring for their responsibilities.

East Texas Youth Orchestra is in our 68th season of providing the student musicians of East Texas with exceptional musical experiences in arts education through a diverse set of programs providing performances that enrich its members and the community. Our students participate in:
*Afterschool Strings Clubs for 5th grade students at area elementaries
*Preparatory Orchestra (for first-year strings)
*Philharmonic Orchestra (our intermediate level full orchestra)
*Symphony Orchestra (our top level full orchestra for ages up to 22yrs old)
*Jazz Academy Lab Band
*Small Chamber Groups
ETYO groups have performed in Vienna, Austria, at the Jazz Education Network Convention in New Orleans and at the North American Saxophone Alliance Regional Conference in Arlington.
