Assistant Orchestra Director - High School

Assist in directing all high school orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo performers and other campus-specific string opportunities such as school musical and full-orchestra. Provide students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular orchestra activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL) and District requirements. Plan activities to achieve District, Regional and State recognition. This includes planning, and directing experiences in large performing groups, technical instruction, chamber music, listening and music theory. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Represents the principal to ensure that all District, Regional and State events have a reflective representation of the school and community. Work with the administration, teachers, students, and parents to assure a successful experience for students and successful public appearances.
