College Park High School, a 6A campus in Conroe ISD located in The Woodlands, TX (just north of Houston), is seeking a passionate and collaborative Assistant Orchestra Director to join our team for the upcoming school year.

The Cavalier Orchestra, established in 2005, will serve over 200 students across five string orchestras—Sinfonietta, Philharmonic, Camerata, Chamber, and Symphony—as well as a Full Orchestra. Our program continues to grow in both size and recognition:

• Symphony Orchestra placed 9th in the 2024 TMEA Honor String Orchestra Competition

• Performed at Carnegie Hall in Spring 2025

• Brought a Non-Varsity Full Orchestra to UIL for the first time in school history

• Consistently earns Superior and Sweepstakes ratings at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading

 

Our robust concert season includes Fall, Winter, and Spring concerts, Region Orchestra, the Bach’s Office Hits Pop Show, the Ann C. Roberts Orchestra Festival, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, and more. Students have access to in-class and after-school private lessons from CISD-approved instructors. Cavalier Orchestra alumni have gone on to pursue music degrees at top institutions including the University of Texas, Baylor University, the University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, and The Juilliard School.
