Klein High School, a 6A campus in Klein ISD near Houston, is seeking a student-centered Assistant Orchestra Director for the 2025–2026 school year. Our Bearkat Orchestra program involves over 200 students across six string orchestras. Our full symphony orchestra is active in both the fall and spring semester. We are known for our tradition of musical excellence spanning five decades thanks to the incredible work of our middle school directors, private lesson instructors and weekly sectional coaches.

  • In-class sectionals provided weekly by district-approved coaches who are professional musicians in the Greater Houston Area

Position Requirements:
  • Demonstrates strong musicianship and a passion for student growth
  • Brings a collaborative spirit and a desire to contribute to a successful team
  • Ideally a low string specialist (though all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply)
  • Will support all aspects of the orchestra program, including instruction, rehearsals, events, and travel
