Staff Singer

Church of the Incarnation is hiring alto, tenor, and bass staff singers.

Our Sunday schedule is as follows: Sundays 8:15am call, 2 services, lunch break, 1:45-3:45 rehearsal, 4:00pm call for 5:00pm evensong, done around 5:45pm. This totals out to 4 calls each Sunday (starting at $75/call). During the summer we take a break from rehearsal and evensong service, so it’s 2 calls per Sunday.

On top of our weekly schedule, Staff Singers have the opportunity to sing funerals and weddings, as scheduled, and have performance opportunities with our professional choir.

Auditions are on a rolling basis. Our Director of Music asks everyone to sing one solo/aria of their choice, do an ear training exercise, sight reading, and a prepared piece which I will send three days in advance of the audition.
